While going to college, I worked my way through school at a number of jobs. Dropped out of college and joined the

d-size daily in Biloxi. Left the newspaper in 1989 and went to work for the Mississippi Department of Wildlife as a writer/editor. Then became a high school teacher. The bottom fell out of my health in 2005, and had to take medical retirement. Wife is Judy. we have four children, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a stupid dog named Ralph..
